Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs

You thought your cries fell on deaf ears. You spent many nights rocking your self to sleep doubting the existence of your God. And when your coping strategies seemed to fail, leaving you on the brink, IT happened. Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs, your 22nd favorite book as a child is finally coming to the big screen.

Glory be to God.

And then, as you wipe the tears of joy from your eyes, Ubisoft makes what seemed impossible, possible. Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs: The Video Game!

Praise Him.

A little info on the movie: Variety announced last year the amazing cast that will lend their voice to the 3-D animated film.

“Bill Hader and Anna Faris have signed on to voice the lead characters of Sony Pictures Animation’s ‘Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs.’ James Caan, Andy Samberg, Bruce Campbell, Mr. T and Tracy Morgan round out the voice cast…”

Also in an interview with SciFi, the film’s writer/director duo revealed they will be “…turning it into a comic homage to disaster movies…”

As far as the game goes Ubisoft, on the game’s official site, reveals that we will be able to “Hurl hamburgers, sling spaghetti, and join the most hilarious food fight ever!”

  1. seriously, I was JUST telling Aaron about this book last week (he’s having twins in the fall) ..definitely ranks in my top ten kids books, after a couple Steven Kellogg goldies.

  2. Hmmm, I don’t remember this one. I’ll keep it in mind when my niece or nephew arrives later this year.

  3. Yea i’m with Chad i’ve never even heard of this book before. The movie sounds atrocious in the wost Hollywood way. But that game is the answer to our prayers.
Nintendo and the Hardcore Gamer: The power team is back!

  4. Though my tongue was lodged firmly in to my cheek for the impending movie and game, CWACOM (that’s what the cool kids call it) was a staple of mine growing up. I know I’ve told you about it before, Steve because the art is great. The style is like dollar bill textures, a really cool style for a childrens book.

  5. Well you know that does ring the tiniest little bell now that you mention it. In regards to episode 503 I didn’t mention my most favorite thing about “The Rime of the Ancient Mariner” or TRotAM as the cool kids call IT. The artwork in it is also dollar bill like with lots of lines and crosshatching. I’ll check it out.

  6. So, are we going with “the best/worst” for future podcasts? I always have a hard time coming up with stuff to say about games, but there’s all kinds of random shit that interests me thats not game related at all.
