Firstly, Dead Space is a must play simply for the deeply moody immersion it offers. Play it with headphones and it’s right up there with System Shock 2. Voices whisper in German and Chinese in the soundtrack. Weird stuff.

So after the collective yawn the industry let out pre, post and during E3, the bar was set so low that Makuhari Messe could have burned down and TGS would still have put on a better show.
